How to spot an agent worth referring in Dallas 🤩
It’s not just someone who knows the market or has hundreds of closings under their belt.
It’s someone who knows how to look out for the people you send their way.
The agent worth referring is someone who can tell when a repair is worth pushing for, when an offer needs a closer look, when a home has a red flag a buyer might miss, or when the best advice is:
“I know you love it, but I don’t think this is the one.”
When you refer someone, you’re putting your own relationship and reputation behind that introduction. I never forget that there’s a real person behind every name sent my way.
If you know someone buying or selling in Dallas-Fort Worth, send them my way. I’d be honored to help.

Geoff and I got to spend a few days out on our family farmland in the greater Abilene area. Always one of my favorite trips!
It’s so cool to think about the generations before us who had the foresight to acquire this land and then pass it down from generation to generation. I’m really grateful for that legacy - pretty cool stuff!
We really had a great time visiting over a couple of days with our farmers, Allen, Andy and Danny, and their families who care for the land so well. These guys are beyond brilliant. So much goes into knowing when and what to plant, understanding the markets and weather, managing all of this equipment, and even navigating the changing energy landscape out West. It’s fascinating to get to observe it all in real time. Quite a production!
One of the pics is actually sesame they tried growing this year. Who knew?! 😂🌾
We also got to swing by the Bynum Band Hall, where my grandfather was the Band Director for around 40 years 🎼, and see all the development happening around ACU. Abilene has actually become quite the cool town - it’s growing like crazy! Not to mention some killer BBQ at @the_shed_market (it’s definitely worth a visit) 🍗 and great music with @braedonbarnhill. So nostalgic being back. Lots and lots of great memories there!
Until next time!
Getting out of your comfort zone usually starts with one decision.
For me, one of those was moving back home to Houston in 2019 for a couple of years to help with family. A time I’ll never forget and never regret.
That season pushed me outside my comfort zone in a lot of ways… especially during a period that threw pretty much all of us for a loop - COVID.
Somewhere along the way, one job ended, another opportunity presented itself, and I started thinking differently about myself and what I had to offer.
I remember thinking, “Hey, I actually do know what I’m talking about. Let’s go show the world.” 😂
Sometimes you don’t have it all figured out. You just take the next step and see where it leads. I feel like that’s pretty much daily life these days, to be honest.
What’s one decision that pushed you outside your comfort zone? Did you regret it? Or did you never look back?

My job starts long before you ever step into a house. 🏡
By the time you tour a home you're excited about, I've already been working behind the scenes on your behalf.
I'm looking into why the home is still on the market, reviewing the property's history, understanding how flexible the sellers may be, and gathering the information that helps you make a confident decision.
That way, when you walk through the front door, you're seeing the home with the full picture, not just the listing photos.
If you're thinking about buying a home in Dallas-Fort Worth and want someone who's doing the homework before you ever step inside, send me a message. I'd love to help.

🏡 UNDER CONTRACT | Rowlett
This is actually the 3rd home we’ve been under contract (Plus a back up Offer) on during this search 😅 - and it’s been a great reminder:
There are buyers ready and willing. But sellers, your home needs to be ready too.
Condition matters. It needs to be marketed correctly and priced strategically from day one. Otherwise, homes sit - costing sellers alot of time and money.
Thinking about selling? DM me. I’d be happy to personally walk through your home and show you what buyers are paying attention to BEFORE you hit the market.
But today, we celebrate my clients! 🙌
They’ve been patiently waiting for the right fit... space for their businesses and hobbies AND the lifestyle they love: hosting, hospitality, fire pit nights 🔥 and modern updates.
Maybe the next Fantasy Football draft is held here? Chelsea what do you think? 🏈😂
We found a smaller home with 3 full bathrooms, as compared to the rest of the neighborhood, in the right pocket of Rowlett, surrounded by homes that have sold for considerably more. That's a win/win folks!
Right home. Right value. And most importantly, right for THEM. 🏡🙌
Now let’s get this one closed!

Being a real estate agent in Dallas-Fort Worth is easy when everything goes according to plan.
The real value comes when something unexpected happens. 👀
Maybe the appraisal comes in lower than expected, the inspection uncovers repairs, or a new question comes up during negotiations.
Those are the moments where experience makes the biggest difference.
My job isn't just to help you buy or sell a home. It's to help you understand your options, make informed decisions, and keep moving forward with confidence.
I love celebrating smooth closings, but I'm reminded most that this work matters when I can help my clients navigate the unexpected and reach the finish line.
If you're looking for a Dallas-Fort Worth real estate agent who'll be in your corner every step of the way, send me a message. I'd love to help.
